This blog is an outlet for assignments, projects, and general thoughts concerning a course titled “The Social Life of Books”. The course objective is to delve into what is book culture and how does one perform archival research. As for the melodramatic course title, Inkheart by Cornelia Funke has long been one of my favorite books. It is one of the earliest novels I remember reading as a child, and given my already growing love for the written word and two parents who shared that, the character of Maggie really resonated with me. It might be over-the-top, but I often feel that at the end of the day the best way to describe my fascination and need for books is that I have an ink-powered heart. (Says the math major) I hope you enjoy my work.
