Blogs the crowded shelves of hallowed halls April 16, 2017 Mary-Haynes Furman Some pictures from the archives, just to show what it is we’ve been looking at for the past two months. The purple triangle poking out from the top shelf is the book that once nearly killed me. For reference, I stand three or four inches shorter than the second shelf from the top (if not more). Some of the Gold Side books, including a circular wooden one and the one with a plexiglass cover. A further out view of the Purple Side books. In this photo, you can see the book that folds open and has three separate books in it (1988), one in a plastic kaboodle (1993), and one in a small trunk (2009). The two sections of shelving that contain all the books too big for our archival boxes. The fabled sarcophagus, used by Gold Side to present one of their books. It’s about a foot and a half at its widest, and probably about four feet long.
